This post is to collectively assemble miscellaneous pieces of advice or motivation into one spot in order to archive it. Here goes:

“The sole advantage of power is that you can do more good.” – Baltasar Gracian (from The Power Principle by Blaine Lee)

Just reading and found something interesting from one of my papers undoubtedly from a book: ‘One man I know offered to give 1000 dollars to whomever introduced him to his future wife.’ In my professional opinion, this is brilliant.

Commit to constant and never-ending improvement. (The Success Principle)

Rule of 5: Do 5 specific things everyday to improve yourself and get closer to a specified goal.

Six Sigma at many organizations simply means a measure of quality that strives for near perfection. Six Sigma is a disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects (driving towards six standard deviations between the mean and the nearest specification limit) in any process — from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service.

An affirmative thought is 100 times more powerful than a negative one.

Many times we only regret what we didn’t do.

What would I do if I knew I couldn’t fail?

It’s impossible to fail. (mindset)

Carpe Diem – Seize the day.

Live with Passion

I only stand to gain in life.

Time is finite. Do it now. Just do it.

Knowledge is potential power.

Don’t approach; Game.

People with low self-esteem make a critical false reality that is harsher than actual reality. Don’t be like that.

Every new moment is filled with opportunities.

Action requires thought and verbiage, but even sorting ideas out and talking to people about them isn’t enough. You must take action with those ideas.

  1. I’ve often found Steven Coveys “Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” to be a timeless resource.

    Worth picking up second hand.
