ComReal Miami recently moved the Doral headquarters from 9500 Doral Blvd into the Miami Free Zone located at 2335 NW 107th Avenue, Suite #2M02, Box 126, Doral, Florida, USA 33172. This was a highly publicized move since ComReal Miami will be able to better serve our clients and generate new business. ComReal Miami is one of the few companies that has intimate knowledge of the Airport West submarket (specifically Doral, and Medley, as well as the neighboring cities), and which is located in a facility that caters to international business and trade.

ComReal Miami recently had a conference with the Miami Free Zone to discuss the benefits of using a Foreign Trade Zone. Here are some notes from the meeting:

The Miami Free Zone was acquired nearly 32 years ago around 1979. It was acquired by Cargo Ventures about 5 years ago in 2006. The Miami Free Zone is FTZ #32. The holder of the grant is the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. FTZ’s were created by an ACT of  congress in 1934 in order to promote international trade. FTZ’s are attractive to medical device companies among others. There are a lot of savings for Latin-American distribution companies (which are a large percentage of the companies which are out here in Miami). The Miami Free Zone is an 809,000 SF facility with about 552,193 SF of warehouse space.

This is just the tip of the iceberg of information that the Miami Free Zone provided. There are many reasons why this facility is superior than other warehouse spaces and locations in Miami.
